Snow and winter stay suggestion...

If you are planning a winter trip, you may want to check with the cabin rental agency to ensure your cabin is on a road that is plowed quickly after a snow.

We were there last weekend with the big snow!. We arrived the night before the snow and didn't get any groceries upon arrival. As it was snowing I was worrying. Thankfully, our road was plowed by 9A the next morning so we were able to get out with no problem. I read on FB that even several days after the snow others were stuck in cabins with unplowed roads.

When we come down in the Winter months we always check the weather forecast a few days before we head that way and one of the first things we do is stop by the grocery store just in case. If we don't get a cabin then we stay at LeConte View in Gatlinburg so if there is some snow we can still get out and enjoy the views.

People booking a cabin really need to read their rental contract before hand and know what to expect.
