Train to Copenhagen, seats available on the day?

Hello,

My family of 4 will be catching the train from Stockholm to Copenhagen on a Wednesday in July and I was wondering how far in advance we have to book tickets given that there are trains every 2 hrs on that route?

Do the seats often sell out in July because of the high number of tourists?

We don't want to lock ourselves in to a particular departure time a long way ahead if we don't have to.

Thanks

July is high season and many travellers. So trains might be full and also you might find it difficult getting seats together if you book on the day.

Discount tickets (from 195 SEK) are released 90 days in advance, while on the day you'd get the full-flex price of around 1300 SEK.

If you wish to keep some flexibility you can buy a rebookable ticket. That way, you'll have the option to go on another train if you wish (and there are seats left).

The rebookable ticket is more expensive than the non-rebookable, and you have to pay any difference in price between the old and the new one.
