Flights

Bit of a conundrum with flights. Either they are horrific times (arrving very late) or extremely expensive.

Our son is now in school so expected holidays to be pricier but blown away by just how expensive good flight times are. Been quoted £1700 with Ryanair for May half term.

Is this pricy or am I being unrealistic?

Rather depends how many of you there are, and if that price is direct from Ryanair, or some kind of package including Ryanair flights, or something else again.

Hi.

As your from London. I would look at other London airports. Look on skyscanner.net all London airports to rhodes. Easyjet released there dates couple of days ago they fly from Gatwick and Luton. Was your quote from Stansted with Ryanair.

Peter.

Thanks - already done that. Flights a little cheaper at £1300 but just horrific times. Either late arrival or far too early at 5.30 am. Beginning to think that it might have to be Spain/Portugal to get a half decent flight time :-(

You could try pricing the same thing (or as close as you can get given different London airports) with Easyjet. Their May flights went on sale today. That would give you a comparison, but if by "half decent flight time" you mean mid-morning or early afternoon it will be expensive. It is about 4 hours each way to Rhodes plus turnround time, and Rhodes is two hours ahead of us. The idea the airlines have is to get at least two round trips a day out of each plane, so *somewhere* has to get the early morning or late evening

Hi.

I've done that 0530 Gatwick with easyjet many times stay the night before at premier inn 2 minutes walk your in north terminal. Still saves you over 200.
