Yes it could. You need to contact the visa issuer and explain your change of plans.
I see you have already discussed visas on other threads.
The advice given on those is that you cancel your existing visa. That is the advice I re-iterate here.
Turning up in the Netherlands with a visa issued by the Italian authorities, when you have no intention of visiting Italy, will be viewed very suspiciously by Dutch Immigration and you could be refused entry to the Schengen Zone altogether. That WILL affect any future applications.

To be fair, you did also say you had changed your plans. Presumably he/she was working to your original agenda.
For schengen visa application, you need to attach confirmed flight tickets, itinerary and hotel bookings for each night of stay. Did your travel agent book your entire holiday to a wrong country?
