Flower Parade 3 May 2014

How beautiful it would be? Does it make sense to stay in Amsterdam for one more day to watch Flower Parade. I would be covering Keukenhof a day before the Parade and thought of proceeding to Paris. How much time it should take considering there would be huge rush and traffic in the city that day.

See the photo's from last parade here bloemencorso-bollenstreek.nl/nl/…

It will be very busy. Please do a search on flower parade in the search box and you will find numerous tips about traffic and times. If you are watching around Keukenhof it will be a one day event. (it takes hours to get there and after the parade hours to get back). Better is to watch at the town of Sassenheim (and walk/bus to station of Sassenheim) or in the evening in the city of Haarlem.

We plan to come for a day from Brussels, and we have the weekend of 3-4 May - I guess the weekend later will already be too late for the flowers? So do you think in practical terms it is better to skip the flower parade because it would be too busy and come see keukenhof on sunday, the day after?
