hotels with good public transport into central Amsterdam

We will be driving from UK to Amsterdam and we are looking for a hotel outside the centre from which we can easily travel in by public transport. If the hotel is easy to find from the motorway network so much the better.

Why don't you just park your car at a P&R and stay in town?

Otherwise maybe the HIE Sloterdijk, Menningen, Mercure Amstel, Novotel and Holiday inn near the Rai or there's free parking at Amsterdam North.

You could also stay in Abcoude and take the train in.

Can you give us more information on what you're looking for and budget? Most hotels even outside the city center will still charge for parking. We usually suggest staying in town and taking advantage of the P & R, more information in the Top Questions on the right side of this page.

There's the Bastion at Amstel. Free parking , 10 minute walk to nearest metro station, then 10 minutes straight to Central Station.
