Oops typo, Days _4_ and 6...

ARTT will not for days 4 and 6 ( have i understood this correctly?)

could you also help me understand why will it not work ( day 4 is in amsterdam city only; and day 6 1st half to Nemo is also in city and second half to airport)

Exactly the other way round. For day 3 (only the ZS, part!) , 4 and 6 the ARTT works and for the rest it doesn't. See: https:/… for a map of where the ARTT is valid.

For the Efteling look at www.discoverholland.com for a combined ticket of train bus and entrance to the Efteling.

For Keukenhof do the same, I'm not sure what you're looking for in Noordwijk. Only Buses to Noordwijk BTW, no trains.

This isn’t about transport, but just about your planning for day 3. You want to visit Zaanse Schans in the morning, and then “onwards” to Rotterdam. Do you realize that Zaanse Schans is north of Amsterdam and Rotterdam south of it? You will need to backtrack via Amsterdam to do this day as planned. It’s all up to you, of course, but to Zaanse Schans is 20 minutes by train (plus that same amount walking). Then you need to walk back to the station to go to Rotterdam Central (an hour and a half). From Central, you need to get to Blaak to see the cube houses and markthal, which is either a few minutes by train, tram, or metro, or a 20-minute walk Then back to Central for the return journey to Amsterdam, another hour and 10 minutes. Including walking to and from the basic places you say you want to see (and not walking around while you’re there), you’re spending about 4.5 hours in transit that day. Seems like a lot.

Yes it did sound somewhat stretched to me also. Hearing it again prompts us to make a slight change.

We'll probably keep day 3 first half ZS, maybe shift AL and TIS to second half.

Day 4 Rotterdam first half; and later electric ladyland and some cafes...

Noordwijk: we read that the flower parade floats are stationed and displayed a day prior to parade in noordwijk. Hence it will be a good chance to click photos and avoid probably much larger crowds next day at the parade

Please indicate if we have got this wrong...

Day 1: Yes, you’ll have time for a canal cruise, AND Electric Ladyland, cafes/walk-around. Elec Lady is in Jordaan, plenty of cafes around there. Just my itinerary two cents.

That plan for days 3 and 4 makes more sense now. However, don't be so sure that Rotterdam is only a half-day trip. The markthal and cube homes are highlights and very close together, so could be done in a short time, but Rotterdam will offer a very different feel than Amsterdam, worthwhile exploring. Many people enjoy a harbor boat tour, a walk across the Erasmusbridge to Kop van Zuid (a peninsula) with Hotel New York at the tip, and the Fenix Food Factory a hop further south by watertaxi. Other nice sights include the Old Harbor, the Coolsingel, the Maritime Museum, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, the Kunsthal, and the areas of Witte de Withstraat and Nieuwe Binnenweg.
