Hi , looking for a good hotel (3-4*) near dam square with reasonnable price (max 130 $/night) thank you.
Winter often has great rates. Excluding Christmas NYE time frame.
I started at the lowest price available and worked my way up. At $150 I still did not find anything decently located and OK reviewed and within budget.
The Hotel Flipper is close on budget but you would need to read the reviews Very carefully.
Otherwise two suggestions——you will need to raise your budget maybe $50 a night more. That’s a guess but I will look for you.
Or consider staying in the lovely smaller cheaper city of Haarlem. Only 15 mins from Amsterdam via train. And Haarlem is nice in and of itself. Plenty to see and do. Even there you may have to raise your budget but just by a little for something decent.
And just to let you know I also looked at rates excluding nye and new year day to see if they dropped a lot
Slightly better but still out of your budget range for anything decent.
The flipper has two good to great reviews to start followed by a number of omg this place was bad. I have stayed in several bad budget hotels and had great trips——but I never had to deal with bed bugs. Just crappy hotels.
Haarlem may be a good compromise unless you can dig deeper
Well that is nice for you and whilst you are just trying to help that hotel is $300 per night on the OP's dates so not gonna work.
Big problem with the caps lock on your computer, JAD. Shouting is neither polite nor effective.
Who's shouting Bro? Certainly not me!
I am sure over those dates even the dumpy places will be expensive like everywhere else. Veel Geluk!Edited: 15 November 2018, 07:06
Thanks for your input bro!

The Bro should look a little closer
Single beds in dorms at the flying pigs run about $90 usd a night per person.
In the only flying pig with rooms available for those dates a small twin will cost $210 a night.
