Yodeling Lesson or Classes?

Hi everyone! I am planning a trip to Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Hungary for the first three weeks of December. Going to hit the Christmas Markets and have some holiday fun. One thing I'd love to do when I am there is to take a yodeling lesson. Does anyone know of classes or of instructors who can do a private lesson? Ideally just one or two days out of my three-week trip. I am just now starting to formulate where I will be when, so as of now my schedule is totally open. Any insight appreciated!

Hi, you can find out about such things on the excellent website of the Swiss Tourism authority

www.myswitzerland.com

If you don't find something there, email them with your questions.

Hope this helps!

Try this -

And be sure to look for teachers in the German-speaking part of Switzerland... we don't yodel in Romandie!

Most beautiful are nature yodelers, such as Zäuerli singers from the two Appenzell. (see also Rugguseli for Appenzell Innerhoden)

Appenzell is also the place where I once got a 3 hour Crash course in yodelling. :-)
