My husband and I plan to spend a week in Switzerland mid-September. Though we have individually travelled to cities like Zurich, Geneva on work, this is our first vacation there. I would really appreciate it if I might hear your thoughts on the following itineraries we came up with (suggestions for alternative routes welcome). Also, where possible, pls suggest hotels to stay (3/4* equivalent). We like to stay in quiet areas, with good views and walks in the vicinity.
Day 2: Mount Titlis (or Rigi) etc., overnight in Lucerne
Day 6: Via Interlaken to Montreux (by Golden Pass)
Day 7: Around Montreux: Chateau Chillon, etc.
Day 8: Montreux to Geneva and onwards to London
(Could alternatively start in Geneva and move north-east instead. Journey time every day is quite limited in this option, giving us some additional time for excursions)
Day 1: London-Geneva, onwards to Montreux
Day 2: Around Montreux: Chateau Chillon, etc.
Day 3: Montreux to Interlaken (by Golden Pass), onwards to Murren or Wengen
Days 4-5: Jungfraujoch, Grindelwald, etc., overnight in Murren or Wengen
Day 7: In Davos/ St. Moritz
Day 8 To Zurich and onwards to London
