Five nights in Tuscany

My boyfriend and I are going to a wedding in Lake Como, and then have five additional days in Otaly. We have decided to spend those five days in the Tuscany region. We are looking for suggestions for sample itineraries. We will arrive in Florence on Tuesday night, and want to spend all day Wednesday and Thursday in Florence. What other towns in Tuscany should we go to? Would you recommend staying in one place for Florence and taking some day trips, or should we spend 3 nights (2days) in Florence and 2 nights (2days) somewhere else. Any and all advice is welcome.

Have you done any research at all?

Your question mostly impossible to answer.

Nobody here knows what your interests are....or if you will have a car.

Will you rely on public transport?

Nobody here knows when you are traveling.

Perhaps you should start by reading a guidebook or two.

You have only 4 full days, which IMO would be best spent in Florence with day trips, not needing to change hotels.

I would take at most one day trip, and I would make it to Siena -- by bus.

Hello Helaine

I would only suggest not to spend more than 2 days by any means in Florence. Actually 2 days if you prefer to have a laid back vacation with everything slow. But actually one day or one day and a half would also be ok for florence.
