Cooking class in Cortona

My daughter and I just returned from our Tuscany trip and took a wonderful cooking class with Shirley and Chuck Ofria in their home high on the hill outside Cortona. We met them at a cafe in Cortona at 9 am, planned the menu, went to the bakery, butcher, street market and then drove up the hill to their home and started cooking. We made gnoochi, tomato sauce, articokes, a fabulous stuffed turkey roll, wonderful lemon cake and much more. We spent the entire day and did not return until 8:00 pm to our hotel. We drank fabulous wine and enjoyed our time with the Ofria's. They could not have been more relaxed and we learned so much about Italian cooking and the people of Cortona. What a deal too. All for 100 Euro. pp. Go to their website www.workshopsinTuscany.com. They also have a fabulous house they rent by the week www.sojourn-In-Italy.com. It was a highlight of our 10 day trip.
