Train from Venice

We will be travelling by train from Venice to Florence at the beginning of July. Is it cheaper to buy our tickets now? Is the fare on the day more expensive, as it is here in UK?

For the best prices, buy now. Tickets for early July went on sale in early March, and the cheapest tickets may have sold out by now on some trains. Buy from www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en or its competitor www.italotreno.it/en

By way of example, a direct train from Venice to Florence tomorrow (13/6) will cost you 39.90 Euros, for dates in early July the same route is 25.50 Euros, so that is your saving by booking online now.

Trenitalia and Italo both run fast and comfortable trains. There is no need to prefer or avoid either of them.
