taxi from genoa port to portofino

Hi we are a party of 8 including two 70 year olds (who have no particular mobility except for the obvious age related) and we want to organise a trip to portofino from Genoa Port. One of the 70 year old is afraid of taking the ferry trip so we are thinking of taking either taking a taxi or an orgnaised tour from the boat.

My first question is where does the taxi or tor coach actually stop you in Portofino- at the top? If yes is it easy to walk down bearing in mind the age of the 70 year old?

How much should a taxi cost ? We would want to spend a couple of hours in Portofino with maybe an hour in Santa Margerita.

Thanks

Cost is going to be at least €200 per taxi and possibly very much more, particularly if you find anyone offering one taxi for eight. You are likely to need two taxis. Some local sources for quotations appear in a list on the airport website www.airport.genova.it/v2/index.php…

Taxis and tour buses deposit people almost in the centre of the village, and it is quite a gentle slope down to the harbour.
