Travelling from Venice

We are 3 travellers wishing to visit Riomaggiore. We will be coming by train (or can we fly?) from Venice. Please advise how we can do this. Thank you.

There are a number of options, taking 5 to 7 hours for the journey by train. See www.lefrecce.it looking for trains from Venezia to Riomaggiore.

There are no direct flights from Venice to this area. Alitalia flies to either Pisa or Genoa via Rome for around €100, but I doubt whether it would be much faster overall.
