Train from Rome to Levanto

We will be taking a train from Rome to our hotel in Levanto.

Which is the fastest and/or most direct train to take? Will we have to change trains? If so, where?

Also, we are hoping we can take a EuroStar train. Can we?

Thanks for all your help

PS I did look at the trenitalia and eurostar site, but can't figure it out.

If you look at the Trenitalia website you can easily note that there only is one eurostar train per day that goes from Rome to Genoa, and that does not stop at Levanto. Use IC or ICplus trains on this route, which are more than adequate. The trip you have in mind involves at least one connection. Would suggest you select an option requiring one change of trains at La Spezia, which is far easier (and less expensive) than going via Florence.
