Safety of Termini central station area around 9pm

We are staying in a b and b a few blocks from Termini central station...We were arriving into the train station around 9pm, is the area relatively safe for walking around at this time? Thanks

Watch out for pickpockets as you should everywhere and you should be okay. We were out that late and there were people all around.Just take normal precautions and stick to busy areas.

Yep, Rome is very safe with the caveat about pickpockets as noted. You'll be fine. The Termini area is not the prettiest neighborhood, but it is safe.

Its a busy area, lots of folks hanging around, fast food places, just have some street cred- keep valuables safe, don't leave wads of money in your back pocket, etc, and you should be ok. Trying not to look like a tourist is good advice! Its not really unsafe, but be aware there are people around who might be looking to pick your pocket. Probably like most big station areas in large cities.

"Termini central station area" means hardly anything. Around Termini there are several different areas and some are totally safe; in such cases you should specify an address. The worst one, to avoid if possible because of petty crime though violent crime is quite uncommon, is the Esquiline around Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.

Staying two blocks away from the Termini right now. Feel completely safe. It's a multicultural area so what some people might think is dodgy etc..is actually quite harmless. Are you or are you travelling with a female? The only thing i found unsavoury is all the Indian men who eye off the women walking past like they're a piece of meat. Other than that it's fine.
