I am travelling to Rome in October and would love some recomendations of accomodation in Rome. Preferably not too touristy.
99% of the people staying in hotels, B&Bs and short-term rental apartments in Rome are tourists, so it's hard to advise you on this. Business hotels are generally even more anonymous than tourist hotels.
Try www.venere.com . You can check off the neighborhoods that interest you and also sort the list by price. Pay attention to the guest ratings, and read the reviews.
Have you considered staying in a rental flat? We decided to try this form of accomodations and loved it. We booked with www.vrb.com and stayed in the Nationale Flat...which was just awesome.
