My husband and I will be spending 3 nights in Rome next April and are wondering which area to stay in. We’d like to see all the historical sites, of course, and we’d like to be centrally located, since we would prefer to walk to all the sites rather than take transportation. That being said, we will also need a convenient way get to Roma Termini on our last day, since we will be taking a train to Salerno. We would also like to be near restaurants/bars, and possibly nightlife.
We’ve been targeting the Trevi, Spagna, and Pantheon areas. We are drawn to Trevi and Spagna because they’re near the metro station as well as restaurants and taxi hubs, but we also interested in the Pantheon area because it is so centrally located, but are a bit hesistant because there are no nearby metro stations. Our budget is $200/night, and we are open to hotels or B&Bs.
Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!
