Transferring to Amalfi - via Positano or Sorrento

Hi, I've searched this forum, the Positano one and the Sorrento one but I'm not really finding what I need so apologies if I've missed it.

In July the only ferries from Capri to Amalfi are showing as in the evening (it's a Sunday) and I'd sooner arrive a bit earlier if I can.

So do I catch a ferry to Sorrento and get the bus from there, or one to Positano (there is a morning ferry) and get a bus from there?

I know the SITA stops are a walk from the ferry stops but I don't know which is easier - if I go to Sorrento I'll be competing with everyone coming off the train from Naples, or does it not matter? And as it's a Sunday does that make it more difficult, in which case should I just wait for the evening ferry anyway?

Hi Grant, you can take the morning ferry from Capri to Positano and then another ferry from Positano to Amalfi http://www.travelmar.it/it/orari

Thankyou! I didn't realise there were separate ferries. Much appreciated
