FC Barcelona through ticket agent? (Spanish Fiestas?)

Hi there,

Going to Europe next week and thinking about going to Barcelona as one of my stops. I'll be going with a friend and we're interested in checking out a FC Barcelona game. There are a lot of online ticket agents, but we're unsure if any of these are legitimate.

We've looked at http://www.spanish-fiestas.com (linked with maineventshop.com) and also the Spain Ticket Bureau, but are unable to find any reviews. Our concern is that some of these sites have the same layout and descriptions.

Spanish Fiestas looks good because they say they get their tickets through a fully bonded travel agent. I assume if we get screwed over, we can always get the VISA charge cancelled.

If anyone can vouch for an online ticket agent, that'd be great.

You can buy tickets through the club website www.fcbarcelona.com. They sell seats from about 2 weeks before the game as season-ticket holders release them ( so booking early doesn't necessarily guarantee best seat)

You did not specify the dates so I'll have to give you a more general answer.

You can buy tickets (and print them at home on your printer) only to the la Liga matches and the closest one (apart from today's match) is on the 24th/25th.

Remember that the exact day and time will be decided only about a week before the match so for now it can be either on Saturday or on Sunday.

As for championship games, only members of FC Barcelona can buy the tickets online in their web site.

The last Championship game will be on the 28th.

You can buy tickets on other web sites, if they still have available tickets (I don't know the one you've mentioned) but be sure to check all of the conditions, especially the ticket delivery method.

Remember, most sites will only deliver to a Spanish address so make sure you have one (not all hotels will accept the tickets for you so ask before you give the hotel's address).

If they have an office, where you can collect the tickets, check their opening hours (they might not be open on Sundays) and check what kind of documents you need to bring with you (usually you'll need the reservation number, the credit card that was used for the payment and an ID).

I've used once http://www.ticketmaster.es/ and it was OK.

You can collect the tickets in the FNAC stores and in the Carrefour supermarkets (only the big ones) but remember that they will be closed on Sundays.

Get tickets directly from the club website or though servicaixa.com. Any bookers will charge more and you have to do stuff like give them your passport number or worse.

If you go the route i mentioned, and need to pick them up day of the match, get there early to pick them up. I showed up about 45-60 mins before kick off and still didnt get to my seat until 10 minutes into the game.
