Costa Adeje, PDL Americas or elsewhere?

Hi, we are a young family with a newborn child.

We would like a resort that has large beaches (Sandy ideally), good evening nightlife in the forms of a Promenade, a Marina, restaurants and some bars etc, maybe some street performers.

We like to take day trips and excursions to see the local sights,we won't be sitting on a beach for the whole holiday.

It's unlikely that we will have a car, and the area will need to be Buggy-friendly.

We also like water parks, animal parks, Boat trips and similar attractions, although they aren't essential.

Would it be fair to say that either Costa Adeje or Playa De Las Americas would be best suited for us? What are the pros and cons of each resort Please?

Alternatively, could you suggest anywhere else that may suit our needs better? Even if it is a different island.

Ideally, the transfer time from the airport wouldn't be more than an hour, but again we can compromise on this for the right venue.

We wouldn't want anywhere too quiet, because we like to have things to do during the daytimes, and a walk in the evening. We like to get out and explore.

Thank you for your help.

Hi

you might find somewhere in Lanzarote, we like Playa Blanca with it's long prom and marina.

Cannot help with Rhodes, Turkey, Kos but you might get some feed back from the Crete forum that has the same question

The area around the Las Vistas beach in PDLA would be perfect for you. The Puerto Colon area of CA would have worked except it's very hilly and so probably not the best with a buggy.

Hi,

How does Puerto De La Cruz compare?

It is cheaper than the other resorts that we have looked at.

Thanks.

I am going to suggest pla, I am also going to suggest near the safari centre, you will be on flat land near to the sandy beaches. This area will also have many bars and restaurants to choose from. There will also be pick up points near by for trips out. From here you can walk to los Christianos in one direction or Costa adeje in the other direction. Hotels to look for is maybe Mediterranean palace, conquistador, bitacorra, or maybe even parque de la Paz. Apartments suggest parque Santiago 3/4 marola portasin

I would back up the previous post. PDLA is a lovely flat area for walking and a great atmosphere. The hotels mentioned are all worth researching.

Thanks a lot. I had actually seen some of those hotels and they look great, but the bigger ones were out of our budget really.

To keep costs down, if we went in October, is everything still open?

Particularly the shops, restaurants, water park and safari park.

What is the weather like in October?

Still hot enough for Sun bathing?

Thanks

Everything is still open, everything is open all year round. just need to find you suitable in budget accommodation in the area. Compestella (can't remember out of the two of them but one is ideal location) read trip advisor for indication. The Andorra is near by. Colon 2 might be out of budget? Vista sur I don't know if these are through an agent or direct and can't comment on price region, maybe read compestella reviews and check what is near by, trip advisor has a few suggestions of near by accomadation.

Hi. Danny ,

We love Puerto , and it has some of the things you want . However for everything you want the southern resorts are more suitable .

We usually go in September and the weather is usually hot and sunny & all the bars etc open .
