Palma Nova or C'an Pastilla

Hi,

arriving in Mallorca on the 27th October for a week. We've been at this time of the year before and usually stayed in Palma Nova. We know there's not usually a lot open, but enough bars and restaurants if we want to have a change from hotel food.

Can anyone tell me is C'an Pastilla going to have enough open at this time of year if we want a break from the hotel.

Just to add we do go further afield than the hotel, but we usually eat out a couple of evenings and visit a few bars.

Thanks in advance for any help.

It won't be a lot different to Palmanova Jan, they'll be places open, and they'll be places shut.

You won't starve lol

Mark2spark,

lol, thanks for the reply. Definitely won't starve as we're going to book all inclusive, but we do like to venture out too.

There won't be as many tourists at this time in Can Pastilla so you'll get a much more local flavour. There will still be restaurants open and especially if you go into Palma in the evening. Well worth a visit.

FamousFiveCordoba,

Thank you for the info. We've been to many places but never stayed in C'an Pastilla. We want somewhere close ish to the airport and on the bus route to Palma.

It's looking like it ticks all the boxes for us.

I recommend C'an Pastilla Jan too. We also mainly stay in Palmanova but it's good to have a change. Pastilla has a fantastic beach, and there's a mix of German themed bars that gives the place a more cosmopolitan flavour, sometimes in Palmanova you don't actually feel like you're abroad anymore.

I suppose a lot of that can be put down to familiarity though.

Mark2Spark,

Thank you for that. We've usually always stayed in Palma Nova due to the close proximity to the city. That way we can use the bus service from the terminal to visit other parts of the island.

It might not fit the bill as the the prettiest place on the island, but it makes a good base.

Looking forward to staying in C'an Pastilla for a change.
