Don pedro

Hi everyone.

We spent a week in torremolinos in March and stayed at the Puente real.

We felt we was abit out of the way there so booked for a long weekend to go to Don pedro in October.

Will their pools be heated. Also are there bars up the side streets around this area, or is it mainly along the promenade?

Thanks.

Believe Don Pedro has small indoor pool which is heated. Outdoor pools are not normally heated.

The Pedro is one of three hotels on the grounds, The Marco and Pablo being the other two and share facilities, There is an indoor heated swimming pool just outside the Pedro and we have often used it , I would highly recommend it , As for bars Maddison's is a 2 minute walk The Irish affair is next to that, Shennanigans 5 minutes further, The claddagh is around the corner from the Pedro , Also you have the all blacks Irish bar at the entrance to the hotel, You won't be short of places to go .

The heated indoor pool is just in the Pablo grounds. If you go through the Pablo arch from the beach side go up left past the small outdoor pool and it is in the building there.

The wife spends several hours a day swimming in there, even in summer. Saves getting back burnt in the outdoor pools.

Plenty of very good Spanish bars, some of the best tapas bars in torremolinos are close to your hotel, no need to pay inflated prices in British bars, Spanish prices for food and drink are far better.

Your nearly as far out as the Puente Real, not a huge increase in bars or any additional local transport and still airport minimum for a taxi.

Google maps shows the Puente Real is 1.8 Km (a 22 minute walk apparently), along the Paseo from the Sol Don Pedro.

Thanks everyone. I think some of those bars are the ones we went to, paddy (hubby) will be happy lol but to tell you the truth the english/Irish bars were abit more expensive. So where exactly is the heart of torremolinos for bars and nightlife?

Take the lift up to Torremolinos Town Centre. There you will find plenty of Spanish owned bars and restaurants.

The lift can be found at the top of Calle Peligro opposite the Ship Inn not far from your hotel.

We went up there for lunch. We walked up the cobbled hill past the little shops. Is that the place. It was quiet as Sunday lunch time. So obviously comes alive at night?
