Bus from Malaga Bus station to La Carihuela

We need to get the bus from Malaga Bus Station to La Carihuela.

We want to get off st the stop opposite Carihuela Park Palace.

I think the bus is the 112. Right? Or are there others.

Do we have to put our cases in the luggage hold?

If so, how do we get the driver to open the hatch so we can retrieve them or does he open it at every stop. ( slightly concerned about someone helping them selves)

Gracias

The bus 110 run along the side of the train station at the side door at platform 10/11 (airport train /fuengirola train) https://www.ctmam.es/lineas/M-110

112 is less frequent and departs the bus station https://www.ctmam.es/lineas/M-112

Sorry slight confusion.

Are you saying the 110 doesn't come in to the bus station?

We will be arriving there from Nerja with luggage, so would it be best to get the 112 from the bus station rather than try and find the 110 stop.

Thanks

you would have to walk through the train station, across the concourse and straight ahead as if you were catching the Cercanias but take the exit ahead instead. The 110 bus stop is just outside. There is nowhere to put your luggage so a taxi might be better or the train to Torremolinos and then a taxi. The 112 has the same luggage problem. OK if no prams or wheelchairs but obviously they would take preference.

Many of the buses on the route are the touring coach type, with the space underneath for cases.

On our recent return to Torremolinos on the 112 service a number of people putting cases in the hold.

Certainly this type of bus used often on this route, every time we use, have to exit the front as can't cope with the rear steps.

The disadvantage of getting the 110 at maria Zambrano is often no seats left and you have to stand until Torremolinos, all seats often taken before it leaves the port bus station

Thanks Ian.

In that case we'll just get off the Nerja bus and wait for the next 112. We're not in any hurry.

On fb there was a video of gang of men forcing coaches to slow down, forcing open the hatches and pulling out cases.

I wondered it it was allowed to tie your cases to something in there.
