Can anyone plz suggest me the important places to visit in Hamburg ? I will travel with my family members . Which place will be better to stay in Hamburg ? How many days maximum I have to stay in Hamburg to see the historical places ?
It's really up to you and your interests. I have lived in Hamburg for 8 years and haven't seen everything that I wanted to see. I think 2 days would be the absolute minimum that you should spend here. Add another day if you want to do a day trip to a smaller city like Lübeck or Lüneburg. And then as much as you can afford considering the rest of your travel plans.

You can see the large street marking, where once the old city walls were. So everything within that area, down to the harbour is basically old town (the buildings itself aren't very old as much of Hamburg burnt down in 1843 and the city was heavily bombed in 1943).
