Looking for nice restaurant in St Germain-

Would like good French food but need menu in English as well . We’re staying in Montparnasse this time , and have not had good luck for dinners. Looking to head to St Germain tomorrow.

We've been having our first night's dinner here for several years ---> http://bistrotdhenri.fr/en

The menu is in French on one side of the chalkboard and English on the other.

Le Reminet has English translations on their menu. Book on TA or TheFork for a nice discount

Annette, we used to go to Le Reminet very often years ago (when our daughter was living in the 5e) and loved it, but haven’t been there for quite a while. I was wondering how recently you’ve been there and if it is still as great as we remember it? Some friends just asked me for a dinner recommendation in the 5e, and I suggested Le Reminet (among some others). I did explain to them that it had been quite a few years since we were last there, though, so would be very happy if you’ve been recently. (would make me more comfortable recommending it to them, since it’s been so long since we were last there) If it’s still as good as I remember it from years ago, then it’s definitely a very nice place to go - in an interesting location (sometimes a little tricky to find, but worth the effort).

.

To tell you the truth Loves, we haven't been since Jan '17. It wasn't bad then, just not as good as usual. We may give it another try next trip. For years and years, we'd go once or twice every visit, but I have the feeling they're a victim of too much internet publicity.

We have not been to Paris for some years but usually stay in this area or by the Pantheon. I have been doing a fair but of research and the following restaurants are on my list for August having been recommended on the forums.

A lovely small bistro we’ve enjoyed (& closer to Montparnasse for you) is Wadja. Really charming & excellent food.

I don’t think they have a website, only a Facebook page. But here is some info., and you can see reviews on Trip Advisor:

Last month I had lunch at Baieta, in the rue de Pontoise. It was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. http://www.restaurant-baieta-paris.fr/en/

The English version of their website is an odd translation. If you can, switch to the French version.
