Driving license

My family and I are travelling to France next week. We are driving. I was hoping to do some of the driving in France, however I have just checked and my UK driving licence is still in my maiden name. Will I still be ble to use the licence in France if I’m pulled over? Even if I take my marriage certificate to prove the name change?

Many women in France retain their maiden names after marriage and have documents with that name. Your maiden name is surely in your passport and as such there will be no problems. Unless you commit an offence or rent a car nobody is likely to look at your licence.

The driving licence should have YOUR photo on it anyway.

Assume you are unlikely o be stoped and if so your picture is on your license. My spouse did not change her name and if she were stoped with a picture I'D why would anyone question it?
