Any other historical sites north of Dublin?

We are in the Newgrange area and have seen Newgrange and Dublin but we are looking for other castles or ruins in an hour radius. We have a car, but do not want to travel hours away as we fly home tomorrow

I'll second Trim Castle... there are also some other ruins just outside the town, Newtown Abbey, and Bective Abbey is also just outside Trim. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bective_Abbey
