Pubs & Nightclubs

Hello Derry,

I'm visiting Derry in Feb'12, (on a Friday) with a few friends and was wondering if anybody would be able to suggest a few pubs/ nightclubs that would be suitable for us, we're all aged between 30-40....and don't mind a bit of live music.( We,re staying in the city centre)...Many Thanks & Merry Xmas!!!!

Hi Taffie,

If you want to stay within the City Centre I would suggest any of the following:

Peadar O'Donnells, Waterloo St - usually live trad music - popular with locals and visitors

Sandinos, Foyle St - small bar but nightclub upstairs is popular at w/end - think it's 80s and 90s music on Fridays :)

Metro Bar, Bank Place - very popular with locals - mixed ages - disco bar

Da Vincis is also very popular but it's located on the Culmore Road about a mile outside the city centre - about £3 taxi fare (15-20mins walk)

Hope this helps!

Hi Taffie

Happy to help!

Yes, Da Vincis is the Ramada Da Vinicis hotel - depending on the weather it's quite a nice walk along the river in to the city centre (approx. 15 mins)

But its probably handier for you to stay in the centre especially if you're on a short visit.

Enjoy!
