Dogs on Buses and Trains

We are in Scarborough in a couple weeks with our dog.

I know it is £7.70 for a day saver but how much is it for the dog?

Are dogs allowed on buses and trains?

Thanks.

Dogs are definitely allowed on trains although their might be a small charge on the preserved steam trains.

I would expect dogs to be allowed on local bus services as well but you might need to check with the operator.

Yes, the buses and trains do carry dogs, and it is very common for dogs to be brought on buses in the area, but drivers do have the discretion to refuse to carry a dog which is muddy, smelly, etc, or to insist that a dog be removed if it becomes a nuisance on board.

"A driver can refuse to have a second dog on board "

How often do they even get one dog on a bus? I think knowing my bad luck the time I want to take the dog on a bus there will already be a dog on it.
