Ticket for Wicked

Hello - I will be arriving in London on August 11th at around 10:00 am staying at the Hilton London Metropole to pick up a Globus Coach Tour leaving the next morning (Sunday August 12th) coming back into London on Tuesday August 21 around 4:00 pm staying at the London Hyde Park Hotel. Globus is offering an optional excursion of seeing Wicked on the Tuesday evening with a 3-course dinner for GBP 99 (transportation to and from the hotel) . Since I am not a big dinner person, it is easy to get a great single seat on either the Saturday August 11th or Tuesday August 21st for a better price. Would I be better to book in advance on line and how challenging is it to get from the hotel to the theatre offering Wicked. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It's easy to get to the wicked theatre. Just take the underground from edgware road (westbound circle line) and stop at victoria station. The theatre is right across the street. 99 with dinner sounds like a good deal but can you choose your seat? If you dont care for dinner, you can get tickets for about 70

I'd have thought on a Tuesday, you'd be able to get MUCH cheaper tickets than £70. Depending on your timing, go to the TKTS booth at Leicester Square and see what they have, or buy now on the Wicked website, or try a company like LastMinute dot com with tickets to be collected at the box office in the latter two cases. Buy yourself a days travel card for getting around, its only about £7.

Wicked isn't discounted at the half price booth, but there are cheaper seats available. Since you say you're not a dinner person, do it on your own. Buy tickets either from the theatre or from tkts, have dinner as you like, and make your own way to the theatre.

No problem with tickets for that show. Have a few pints in the Fountains Abbey instead.

If possible, go to the box office at the theater that day. You should be able to get a very good seat for £40 or less.

We did, in summer, on a Saturday, and there were four of us.

Enjoy the show.
