First time here .... things to do

We are coming for few days break in August this year, staying at premier inn central. We have two lads 18 and 12 anything anyone could recommend for things to do day/night? Pubs, parks, etc 😊👍

Most of the time everyone is happy on the 5 miles of beach, walking up and down or you can hire bikes or even a beach hut. If the weather is poor, BIC Solent has a roller coaster rink and there are some good shows on if they like theatre. The Bournemouth Air show is on in August, but do a search of "what's on" Bournemouth. There is plenty of live music on for all tastes. Bournemouth also has good transport links. There are buses and trains to Poole where ferries leave for Brownsea Island or fishing boat trips or crabbing. Trains to Brockenhurst to see the New Forest ponies and there's the Jurrasic coast bus. Suggest you get a free brochure from www.visit-dorset.com

Also to the above, there are Friday night Fireworks at the pier every week in August at 10pm. And they did have last year, but not sure about this year, but they have the stage set up with live entertainment on these nights too (usually from about 7ish). Again check the whats on Bournemouth website and they should have it all in there closer to the time.

If your happy crossing on the ferry then Dorset water park provides a great day out, you'll need water shoes and potentially wetsuits but both are available for hire and I would recommend booking in advance. Then you could walk around Corfe Castle or go to Studland Bay. Their is plenty of shopping in Bournemouth if that's your thing and lots of fancy places to eat. If you want to eat somewhere nice a bit cheaper then try blue Mondays in yo-sushi, it's also great if you can get student discount. Bournemouth has a large park like area, I've never been there very long but there are activities like mini golf and an aviary. If a big sporting even like Wimbledon is on then sometimes they put up screens to watch it on there too.

If they were scouts they might be interested in visiting Brownsea Island - red squirrels there too.

Skateparks https:/…

And as it isnt all about the children http://www.comptonacres.co.uk/ This is one of the few gardens I've ever visited with my child that they didnt whine about.
