Disabled / Blue Badge Parking

Hi. Just booked a holiday house that's near Sainsburys.

There's no parking at the property but a few of the reviews mention car parks close by and you buy a rover ticket.

A few other reviews mention on street parking too.

Does anyone know if this is the case?

Also it seems that blue badge parking in car parks isn't free.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you read the guidance on the Cornwall Council website? It might be helpful

Which road is it because there are different parking restrictions on each road?

Hi. Yes I'd seen this but as my son will only be two he doesn't qualify for the mobility side of it therefore it implies we aren't entitled to park using the blue badge as our vehicle isn't adapted or tax exempt as that's not applicable till he's 3. Thanks though

Many car parks you are likely to use aren't operated by Cornwall Council, so I'd be wary of the Rover Ticket as it won't be valid in car parks managed other organisations. You may find that car parks operated by local councils will provide free Blue Badge bays. Many of the Cornwall Council car parks offer an extra hour free parking for Blue Badge. Of course the Rover Ticket may provide convenience as you travel around.

On street parking will be governed by the usual rules, which are described in the booklet provided when you obtained the blue badge.

Make sure you have plenty of change for ticket machines.

If you look at street view or satellite on Google Maps you can see where the street parking is, but beware it might be permit parking only! You could also ask the accommodation provider for information.

Parkopedia is a decent website and you can select disabled parking as a requirement.
