Premier league football in pubs

Hi

Does anyone know a pub in the city centre that shows matches that kick off on a Saturday at 3pm?

Thanks.

I think there has been a thread about this. Shropshire Arms at Town Hall Square, defiitely (I would think) Off the Wall and the Hickory Smokehouse. Someone keener of football will give you better info I am sure.

The Bear & Billet on Lower Bridge Street shows all of the Sky and ESPN games.

It does get busy in there when the footy is on, but not rowdy like some pubs.

Get there early and find a table upstairs. Last time I watched football in there they did table service so you didn't have to go downstairs to the bar. ;-)

Games that kick off at 3 pm are not normally broadcast via Sky or ESPN, these are usually via a foreign service. You also do not know which match it is likely to be, or do you ?

United game will be on everywhere, thought you meant the 3pm?

Bear and Billet and Shrop are good options as stated, maybe try the Eagle, a good pub which is central thats where I would recommend.

I raised the original question which was for the 3pm game Man United v Sunderland on 15th December. Red looney introduced the 5.30 game.

I know it won't be on sky, so will be relying on a foreign channel.

I will try the pubs suggested and hopefully will find it.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Back from Chester - sound place and thanks for helpful tips.

If anyone is looking to watch a game that kicks off at 3pm on a Saturday, try the Dublin Packet next to the Town Hall on Northgate Street - showed 2 different games this weekend
