manchester to chester by public transport

need to get from manchester city centre to Chester City fc ground at Bumpers Lane for kids footbal match probably on sunday in april.

can anyone advise on train service on sundays and prices/times/interchanges etc or advice on taxi fares to/from ground.

Your only option Manchester to Chester is train and then taxi or bus. The club's website recommends taxi as the best option from the station. You could get the No 10 bus from bus station but you first need to get there and, as far as I know, the station city link bus still does not run on Sundays and the station is some way out of the centre.

try thetrainline.co.uk for train times etc. There are two routes, neither of them fast, but one slightly less slow than the other.

A taxi from the train station to the ground will cost u about £6 & will take bout 5-10 mins depending on traffic. U could get a bus from the town centre but there's not much point because it will take u a good 15 mins to walk there & buses r usually only hourly on a Sunday so u could be waiting ages!
