Bear Watching

We are in Ucluelet for a couple of days and hoping to see black Bears. Are there any spots which are better than others to see them? I have heard Mussell Beach campground is good - any advice would be great.

The locals keep it a secret because there were too many interactions with people that had not concept and put themselves in danger. If you ask the locals maybe someone might share the secret with promises that you will not be posting it online.

Have you considered taking a tour for bear watching? That would be the best option, IMO, to see bears in a responsible manner.

They are in the Pacific Rim Park, and all over the place, really. But the majority of us don't see them, although they see us! We couldn't hike the Bog Trail a couple of weeks ago, as the bear was doing bear things, in the center of the loop.
