I am thinking about going to Kenya in late Nov and I would like to know if Kilimanjaro can be seen during this time of year. I heard it is a rainy season.
Normaly the Kilimanjaro can be seen from Amboseli, very early morning when the Sun comes out or later in the afternoon, but as it is part of Nature, no one will be able to give gurantee to see the Mountain.
No guarantee at all. We have had our best sightings at around 11.00 am, but it's always up to nature.
Yes it can be seen the only thing that happens late morning when the cloud gather and cover it, you cannot be able to view it hence the name "shy mountain'
Would Oct a better time than Nov for better chance of seeing the mountain?
We had our safari on the November month and yes we managed to see the Kilimanjaro in the morning hour just from our lodge(Amboseli sentrim lodge).
In my experience, the first hour or two after dawn and the last hour before sunset are best. I think the rainy seasons are the best time, as the air is clearer and more dust-free, and Kili will frequently have a good coating of snow.
