Rayavadee

having never been to Thailand and would like the ability to eat out on a night time. Is it possible to do this if I stay at the Rayavadee? Is is a boat trip or can you walk out?

If you can't any recommendations on hotels of the same type where you can! (Same area obviously)

Thank you

You can walk to Railay beach and visit restaurants there.

Thank you for this, is there a good choice or is it limited? Just knowing we will have freedom to roam has helped immensely

There are many restaurants down the other end of Railay. If you go out by reception and following the walking path away from Rayavadee about a 10 mn walk. There are also some bars at the front of Walking Street where you can sit on the sand and watch the sun go down.

Some of the best restaurants seem to be on the Walking Street (can be reached from both Railay West or East) - we liked one called 'Railay Family Restaurant' best. The resort restaurants on Railay West have a nicer setting but food at the only one we tried (Railay Bay Resort) was very poor compared to the more rustic restaurants on the Walking Street.

There is a great bar/restaurant at the start of Walking Street on the western side. We also really enjoyed The Last Bar on the eastern side.
