Credit card insurance MIGHT be good in Mexico for CDW/LDW. (Collision & Loss ONLY)

Ask your credit card company for confirmation and specifically for Mexico. If you want to really understand what they cover, ask them what will happen if you have a claim. Tell them you want 30 days. May not be covered. ASK lots of questions.

You MUST have Third Party Liability (TPL) in Mexico.

Other insurance for medical & liability are optional. IMO you don't want to be under-insured in Mexico.

Credit card coverage for CDW/LDW is usually only valid when you pay for rental with the credit card.

If you are using Airmiles you may not be covered .

Have you been to the area before ?

Are you sure you need a car for 30 day period.

Hopefully you wont need to file a claim but you don't want to be sitting in jail wishing that you had paid for it.

Mexico is not a place to skimp on insurance.
