Rogers Cell Phone Coverage

Hi all,

We had problems with our cellphone coverage in Newfoundland. Luckily I downloaded offline maps for our trip.

How’s the cell phone coverage in PEI?

Thanks in advance

Lisa

Did you look at the coverage map on their website? Which, btw, shows very little coverage in Newfoundland...

They still have paper maps at the Visitor centres )-:

this is the map of cell phone towers - https:/…cancellsites.html

I never rely on a cellphone when traveling; had way too many problems.

+ you do not need DATA if you trying to use it as a GPS.

When I'm on PEI, my phone picks up signals from Rogers and Bell. Because of the island's size, topography, and population density, cell service is pretty good. (It's more reliable than T-Mobile coverage in the United States, honestly.) You'll go through areas where calls get dropped or data is slow, but you're out of them again within minutes. Never had a problem using maps to get around.

As a backup, I always have gps with maps downloaded to my cell phone of areas that i visit. Pei has generally good coverage for google maps though.
