WEGO then shuttle to Niagara on the Lake
Save

Hello, in a couple of weeks we are walking across Rainbow bridge to the Canada side. I am assuming the best way without a car to get to Niagara on the lake is to take the WEGO to the Floral Clock first...

After crossing the border, where can we catch the WEGO? Can we pay the fare on the bus? If not, closest place to Rainbow bridge to buy a ticket?

Thanks!

Thank you!

You should confirm if the NOTL shuttle is actually operating this summer:

The NOTL Shuttle is NOT operating. Taxi or uber are the only way to get to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Why are you walking across the border?

It seems rather a convoluted way to visit.

Canadians snowbirds were doing that when there was mandatory hotel quarantine for air passengers. But it’s open now.

Why not rent a car and come visit?

If we rent a car is there a specific scenic route you recommend as we make our way to NOTL?

Hi cos24;

I would suggest driving along the Niagara Parkway.

Ok great! If we decide not to go to NOTL but stick around Niagara falls.....after crossing the border can we pay the fare on the WEGO bus? If not, what is the closest place to Rainbow bridge to buy a ticket or pass?

Thanks!

Hello. I have been reading that the Niagara on the Lake shuttle is not running. Please note that the WEGO buses are running, in the event that you want to enjoy alternative sightseeing early in the day and then taxi over to Niagara on the Lake afterward. Last week I called the WEGO phone number and was told that those buses are running from morning to evening. I told the kind agent that I would be walking across the Rainbow International Bridge in early fall (I had booked my Niagara Falls, NY, hotel back in May), and I asked where I can purchase my WEGO ticket. The agent replied that I can purchase an all-day pass (CAD$9.00) from the gift shop across the "walk-across" from where one exits the Rainbow International Bridge on the Canadian side.

Here's hoping you thoroughly enjoy your visit!

If your not going to visit Niagara on the lake, i would not rent a car. WEGO will take you around the main tourist attractions. The Red Line will even take you into town if you want to do some shopping without paying the rip off tourist prices.

Walking across the bridge is a hassle free way of visiting the falls, so long as you have a way of getting to the rainbow bridge. Most hotels charge for parking. I used to park my car for a day or two in the casino garage and just forget about it during the summer. Makes for a relaxing, peaceful trip.

Good luck crossing the border. Seems like being vacationed for Covid does not mean you can not test positive for Covid. Its happening more often then we were told it could.
