Weekday or Weekend? September

We’re planning to go to Niagara Falls on a Friday in mid September, but we are concerned about the rush hour traffic during the work week, as 8 am and 4:30pm is when we would be driving to Niagara Falls and then back to Toronto. But Saturday or Sunday would probably be worse for crowds at the Falls directly etc. Any opinions as to which we should consider, we could do either Friday, or either day on the weekend, that’s it. Thanks.

At the times you are going, weekday traffic is not bad because the heavy traffic is heading in the opposite direction (to Toronto in the morning and out of Toronto in the late afternoon). On weekends, traffic heading to Niagara Falls is very heavy in the morning and afternoon.

Friday is the best choice.

That makes sense, we’ll stick with the Friday as planned. And if we can find parking that doesn’t cost $30 or more, that will be a plus.

That saves time, but costs more money. If you plan to shop and eat in anyway, then regular parking makes the most sense.
