I tried a couple emails with no luck to Don for a private tour for 4 to Baddeck & area. Does anyone know if he is still working & what his email is OR any other driver suggestions/emails? I've read the car rentals are 20 minutes away and not to sure if driving is a good idea for us. (Is the driving easy, not sure how good we would be with GPS or directions). Thanks

In spite of mixed reviews, I would be surprised if he is still available.

Some of the rental agencies will pick you up at the pier. I know Enterprise is one of them. If you can drive in Buffalo you can drive here where we have way less traffic. Sydney is not a large city. And people are famous for being friendly and helpful. Just stop and ask for help if you need it.

Yesterday I started work on a document to help cruise visitors to Sydney. Here is what we have so far: http://bit.ly/2xsHTLm

The above includes Google maps. They should be enough. You can also get a free NS map at the cruise pavilion or ask for one from the car rental company.

If you have a GPS with North American maps bring it. You can also ask for a GPS with your rental. Or you can use pre-downloaded google maps and your smart phone. You do not need any data to do this. https:/…
