fondue in Victoria?

Can anyone suggest a good fondue restaurant in Victoria? Preferably downtown--I'm not having any luck with searches.

I don't know of any place that specializes in it downtown, but if you can get up to Sidney, a very nice and scenic place you can see in an hour, you can go to http://www.bistrosuisse.com/

If you go, allow time for a waterfront walk, and maybe up and down Beacon Ave. Many, many bookstores, and more.

If I recall correctly, the Tapas Bar on Trounce Alley might have a fondue dish on their menu (all small plates). Also check the website for Bon Rouge (wonderful, semi-casual French restaurant) -- They may have an Alsatian-style fondue on their menu.

Thanks to both of you! The Bon Rouge is right by our hotel (The Magnolia) and I was thinking that would be a nice place to eat our first night in Victoria. Fingers crossed for fondue!

this restaurant does not seem to be reviewed on TA but does appear to have a fondue menu item:

urbanspoon.com/r/…Vis-a-Vis-Oak-Bay . I have not been there but the chef has good credentials....
