hotel w/laundry-floatplane

First, thanks to all for the advice you have provided thus far. Our family is flying into Victoria by floatplane and would love a hotel near the plane which offers self-service laundry-it looks like the marriott, fairmont and magnolia are nearby, but I am desperate for laundry then... royal scot seems like a long walk from the plane. any advice?

If laundry is tantamount to your stay and the Royal Scot looks good to you, take a cab. According to taxime.ca your cab fare would be $5.85.

Royal Scot is very nice. They do offer a shuttle. The Queen Victoria is another choice. Either of these might be a $6 cab ride from Seaplane.

Have you looked at Parkside Resort and Spa. Friends of ours stayed there last month, ensuite laundry is included. It is a located very close to the Inner Harbour, a stones throw away from the Empress. This location gets my vote over the Royal Scot any day.

I believe the Victoria Regent right along the waterfront has laundry facilities. We've stayed there and at the Royal Scot numerous times over the past 30 years and highly recommend both. Regent is a little more upscale, but both will be quite comfortable for a stay of several days.

I am not sure if you were looking for in-room laundry, or if just on-site laundry was good enough. If on-site self service is fine, another option is the Oswego Hotel. It is in James Bay, near the Provincial Legislature, so its close to the inner harbour where the float planes land. They have an on-site laundry room for guests. This hotel was built like a condo building and people can buy units (or portions thereof) and rent it out. Its fairly new and seems to cater to longer stay clients with weekly and monthly rates.
