Holiday September 2014 with children

Hello

We will be visiting Wales next September and will be staying 7 nights in Llanfairfechan in a cottage and 2 nights in Cardiff. When we are in Llanfairfechan we want to visit the best attractions found North of Wales and our last 2 days in Cardiff.

This is not the first time we visit UK and we always drive when we are on holiday. Driving long distances is not a problem. We would like some suggestions re :

- Top attractions which our 10 year old daughter would find interesting

- We love to visit castles, historic houses

- Weather in Wales beginning of September

Thanks everyone for your help!!

Alison

Weather should still be warm with sunny spells .

Attractions for your daughter.

Conwy Castle or Caernarfon Castle.

Welsh Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay

Tobogganing on the great Orme at Llandudno

Crab fishing off Bangor Pier , Conwy Quayside

Buy a crab line from a local shop some streaky bacon for bait and do as generations of kids and parents have done , catch a bucket of crabs and return them at the end of the day.

A little further afield

Portmerion about an hour from Llanfairfechan

A walk and picnic at Aber Falls?

The goal and castle at

You can take boat trips from here

If over on Anglesey why not visit Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

Llanfairpwllgwyngyll - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llanfairpwllgwyngyll

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch is a large village and community on the island of Anglesey in Wales, situated on the Menai Strait ...

Even just for a photograph beside the name sign.its worth a half hour or so on the way to Beaumaris

There is the sea zoo on Anglesey which is quite small and worthwhile but only if you are nearby

Plenty of beaches , take your choice.

Hope this helps
