hoping to stay in Llanfairfechan in July. are there many restaurants, cafes etc. Can't seem to find out much about it?
No restaurants as far as I know except for the Beach Bar Cafe on the Prom. Couple of restaurants in Penmaenmawr (one an excellent Argentian restaurant). More things going on in Conwy.

There are two cafes on the promenade and a couple further up the village. There are several pubs that serve good food (the Village Inn). There are two chip shops, a chinese and an indian takeaway.
an Argentinian restaurant in Penmaenmawr? I live here and have never come across it - do you have a name for it?
Well it must have closed down cause it's certainly not there now, what a shame.
We have eaten out at the Beach Hut Cafe on the seafront in Llanfairfechan next to the Yachting club. There is a good variety of hot and cold food served. I think it closes at around 5pm most days. Also eaten at the Gladstone Pub in Penmaenmawr - think its closed at present being refurbished but diue to reopen soon. We have also been recommended to try the Split Willow restaurant in Llanfairfechan. Not tried it yet but will post a review when we do.Edited: 10 years ago
Is 'Le Gallois' still open in Pen? That was excellent, how about 'The Split Willow'?
Yes they are both still open.
The village inn pub is great. homecooked food. have been llanfairfrechan about 5 times (going for wedding anniversary and taking our daughter for the first time in may) and their homemade lasagne doesn't fail to hit the spot. Have had The Chinese takeaway it was nice but the chip shop wasn't good. best fish and chips is in conwy and eating them by the harbour
