Exit tax & room tax

Hi we will be staying at Riu tequila in July, can anyone tell me what the current exit tax is? Also, the room/environmental tax, do we pay this on arrival & how much? Do we have to pay this in pesos? Just need to know how much cash to take. We have some spare dollars which I believe we can use. Thanks

I too am staying at the Tequila in early July. My travel agent has said that the Hotel tax will be roughly 20 pesos per day per room rather than per person. The exit tax has been stated as 1120 pesos per person paid at the airport and paid in cash only, other currencies also accepted.

The most recent forum posts I've seen (in May) reported the tax as 1150 pesos or 50 pounds or US$65. It may have changed in June.

Currently, TUI/Thomson do not include the taxes with the airfare, but that will change in May 2019.

Its no problem at all. We have put our exit tax pesos to one side as its definitely cheaper in pesos rather than pounds or dollars.
