Another option for visitors to Merida. They have special offers at present as part of their opening.

Thank you! nothing like a quiet new mini-split!

if I wasnt already booked for Las Cascades and Luz, it would be tempting.....

I had also been watching the construction of this hotel and seemed it took forever. It is a great location.

I wouldn't stay there instead of Luz or Cascadas... it looks a little sterile and business-like to me.

And I'm pretty sure both Luz and Cascadas have perfectly wonderful air conditioning.

On top of that it's pretty far from the zocalo... nice if you want to be farther north, though. Walking distance to the Salvador Alvarado sports field...

I am sure Luz and Cascadas have ac but not sure about a quiet mini split.

I like the location of the new hotel but agree it does look a bit sterile.

While not in the heart of the "action," but on the busy Paseo Montejo, they are right across the street from Cubaro, Slavia and Tobaro----three fun restaurants with delicious food. Being almost on top of the Monument to the Flag, must be pretty impressive.

Went to the Hotel Victoria for the breakfast buffet. Everything was very bland, the wait staff were poorly dressed, the seats stained and overall it was a let down.

Plenty of room for improvement.

Good to know Londoner... Im happy where I am - or would have booked Hacienda Merida again (love that place too!)

Luz and Las Cascadas do in fact have quiet mini splits. Ive stayed at Luz (in 2 different rooms and will be back in 1 of them this trip), and had tour of Las Cascadas with Ellyne.

I also picked a Campeche hotel based on what looks like central air - no window hummers!

Personally, I love window hummers. They block out the noise and provide me with a restful sleep. I can't sleep at all in a quiet room; the slightest chirp of an iguana will wake me right up, or the clickety clack of heels on tile outside the room or above me.

The hotel Victoria is also convenient to McDonalds, which is right next door!
